We learned just this past week that our PC(USA) International Peacemaker, the Rev. Izett Sama Hernandez, from Cuba, has not been granted a visa by the US government, and therefore is unable to travel to Denver for the scheduled events.

We have cancelled the lunch/presentation at Arvada Presbyterian Church on Saturday, September 14 and the lunch/presentation at Highlands Camp and Conference Center on Monday, September 16. We are sorry for the inconvenience these cancellations may cause.

Central’s Cuba Team members will lead the Adult Faith Formation class at Central on Sunday, September 15, and Pastor Louise Westfall will preach on Matthew 25:31-46.

We remain hopeful about the potential for a Havana Presbytery/Denver Presbytery partnership and will continue to pursue it through learning and travel exchanges. Please continue your prayers for our brothers and sisters of the Reformed Presbyterian Church in Cuba.
