The Mission & Ministry Work Group of the Council of the Presbytery of Denver will review the funding requests for Mission Partnerships, Covenant Communities, or Task Forces (collectively “Mission Groups”) based on information provided in your Annual Report and in this Funding Request form. As stewards of mission pledges received from congregations in the Presbytery, we seek to maximize our collective impact in healthy, effective, and mutual transformation through mission. The Work Group will compare your Funding Request to the Presbytery of Denver’s Values Statement and will consider each participating congregation’s involvement in the life of the Presbytery.

Management. Who will manage these funds, if granted by the Presbytery? Please provide name, address, telephone, and email information.

Budget. Please provide a detailed budget for how funds requested from the Presbytery and other sources will be spent.

Reconciled Financials. Please provide a copy of your year-end financial statement for the immediate past year, showing how funds provided by the Presbytery (if any) and other non-congregational sources were spent. Explain whether and how the past financial contributions and gifts of other resources will change in the year for which this funding request is being made? What steps will you take this year to increase funding from sources outside the Presbytery?

Accountability. If you are contributing funds to another organization, what other sources of funding does that organization have to operate? What steps have you taken to ensure that your contributions are used as intended?

Connection to the Presbytery. The Mission & Ministry Work Group will look at several factors in considering your Mission Group’s application, including the participating congregations’ contributions to the ministry and mission of the Denver Presbytery. This will include your denominational mission pledges (as a percentage of the congregation’s overall budget), your leadership in Presbytery groups, and your participation in the Presbytery’s events and work. What connections would you like to highlight for our consideration?
