At Denver Pride Fest this year, volunteers from Denver Presbytery offered more than glitter and smiles—they offered sacred presence, open-hearted listening, and words of affirmation to a community that too often encounters exclusion from faith spaces.
One of our volunteers (Allison McQueen, member at Wellshire Presbyterian Church) shared a powerful reflection on what it meant to take part in this ministry of presence and blessing. Her words remind us that sharing God’s love at Pride isn’t just about being seen—it’s about seeing others fully, and celebrating the divine image in each person.
